I often start off these posts with telling you how excited our team was in a specific project, but this was especially true on this one.

Approached by a group who had physical stores selling liquor and other products, who wanted to integrate the distributed stock centers into a single online presence. We knew ahead of time the various challenges and were anxious at proving our expertise. Especially, after hearing that the previous company had struggled for more than a year and finally gave up.

Some of the same challenges we experienced in the Karmak Shopify integration, we experienced and were prepared for. I’m referring to handling webhooks that were missed and logic around when the invoice would be created on Clear POS’ side. The bidirectional nature of this integration was also similar and we were able to lean on our experience in correctly implementing this requirement.

Working with alcohol, this solution required us to get our head around taxes and regulations as well. We had some unique challenges in referencing regional law and interpreting it into logic to correctly adjust taxes and costs around deposits etc.

Clear POS has a well thought out API and the technical team were a dream to work with. Extremely responsive and even added some features on the fly.

With our ever growing Shopify integrations, we decided to develop a multi-tenant and configurable API selector, which will be made as part of a monthly service and allow you to chose from our ever growing list of API endpoints on the fly.
