A remote work strategy

Published On: December 1, 2022

At the start of the pandemic, most companies found themselves in a flat panic trying to get a remote work environment up. Few companies were prepared to handle the entire workforce working from home. The clients we have been asked to consult for regarding this, have almost all shown that in the rush to get a solution up, the foundations around securing the solution as well as offering an acceptable user experience, are sorely lacking.

As is usually the problem, fixing a solution postproduction rollout is a daunting task, to say the least. Getting businesses to sign off on interruptions to the service, to assist in bringing a remote work solution in line with the standards required, is not going to be easy.

This coupled with the fact that we do not seem to be seeing a quick end to the pandemic and a lot of companies starting to rethink the traditional work environment to now include full-time work-from-home strategies.

In the following weeks we will be discussing the different aspects of effective and secure work from home strategies, broken up into key sections:

TECHNOLOGIES
Going far beyond the standard VPN solution to include remote desktop type solutions, zero trust, and publicly accessible applications.

AUTHENTICATION
Methods of authenticating users and the pros and cons of each.

SECURING
How to secure your network from the inside and limit the risk of a breach.

MALWARE PROPAGATION PREVENTION
